Mark Dillon
C12 Board Member; President of Tampa Bay Steel Corporation
Mark leads a steel distributor servicing the Florida market which employs roughly 150 employees and generates in excess of $50 million in sales. He has been a C12 member since 1996 and has been a long-time C12 Board Member. Under his leadership, TBSC has also introduced corporate chaplaincy (CCA) and has revamped associate compensation to enable ‘pay for performance’. Mark has been in the steel industry since 1985 and had earlier experience working a national accounting firm. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida where he earned a degree in accounting.
Mark and wife Cheryl were married in 1976 after dating since meeting in high school at the age of 16 in Bradenton, Florida. Both were born north of the Mason-Dixon line but have made the gulf coast of Florida their home for most of their lives. They have two children currently attending college , son Wes and daughter Kendall.
Mark grew up active in church but without a saving knowledge of Christ. He had stopped attending church shortly after becoming married. Eight years later, while part of an Evangelism Explosion program, Mark accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. These days, Mark is active teaching adult Sunday School and serving under the Lordship of Christ in the markeplace.
We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive. -
